Crestmore Manor | Riverside Ca

Located near Mountain Rubidoux we come along to a restored plantation style home called The Crestmore Manor, in what used to be the stables in the back, there is now a reception center used by many for weddings and special events. However with this wedding being held in October, an outdoor reception was in order. The layout was completely designed by the lovely couple Javer & Cindy. We got the call to provide our Bistro String Lighting and Dancefloor Wash. With Power Distribution being the only issue in our minds, we managed to make it happen and made the Area SHINE...just see below:Crestmore Manor 1 Crestmore Manor 2 Crestmore Manor 3 Crestmore Manor 4 Crestmore Manor 5 Crestmore Manor 6  Photo Credit: Wedding 64 Photography

Since our first meeting some 8 months ago to talking over last minute details via phone, text and email, Marie and Doug let us know exactly what they envisioned and expected. This really helped us to be able to provide a Memorable Service. From the awesome Venue to the Ice Bar and the decor lighting, everything really came together just perfectly. The Reception was with no doubt soo much fun! This really was a fun couple to work with. Vibiana LA

VibianaLAOne of the Events we serviced this past weekend was held at the Vibiana. This Venue has 130 years of rich Los Angeles history, 35,000 square feet of luxurious space, baroque inspired interiors, an expansive lush garden, all set in the heart of downtown.VibianaLA (5)The venue hosts a wide range of events including fashion shows, fundraisers, live entertainment, and wedding ceremonies and receptions.Like many venues, we had a scheduled arrival time of 11am. Our install took about 4 hours. We placed over 40 Ambient LED Wash Uplights set to Eggplant Purple, 2 Design Lights with Amber gels, 4 Intelligent Moving Heads, 32 Pin Spots and a Projection Screen in the balcony.   Vibiana LA Since the Venue is primarily white in color with Marble pillars, we did our best to Highlight the Architecture by adding a wash of color. The Vibiana Staff goes to great lengths to conserve the Venues esthetics and we understand why.....it is simply an amazing Building.  VibianaLA (2)  Photo Credit: Liz Saldana Photography

Wilson Creek Winery - Temecula

Wilson Creek Winery is nestled at the end of Rancho California Road in the Temecula Wine Valley and produces high quality wines and champagnes, including their Famous Almond Champagne, which we are fans of! Friday April 19th could not come any sooner, we where anxiously awaiting the drive down the 15fwy.Once arriving we knew this was going to be a great Venue to work at, our communication with the Coordinator Sue-Lin was excellent, she made us feel right at home once we arrived. She gave us a tour of the Venue and offered refreshments. Impulse TransportationThe location of the evenings Wedding Reception was the "Champagne Ball Room" and once walking inside we know that the color chosen by the couple "Amber" would blend in very well. We had a  friend from Black Rider Studios, Tony Ruiz, meet us there to capture some shots for our portfolio.Champagne RoomChampagne Room_2We tried to blend in the Lighting with the brides inspiration "The Peacock", look at what our designers came up with for the Monogram:Peacock MonogramThe bride LOVED the design. We had a great time setting up this Event, the location brought back many memories from our first visit. Event Lighting 101....What you should know.

What do you need to know about event lighting? There are some common features and effects that really bring an event together, and it’s good to be familiar with the terms that describe them as well as their roles.Ambient UpLightingUplighting causes color and light to wash a room, accentuating the natural appeal of a space and playing off the wedding’s color scheme. Some venues are already gorgeous and benefit from a little enhancement. Others are more basic, or even challenging, and require transformation. Uplighting helps achieve the desired effect. Monogam Gobo One of the most popular theme elements in today’s weddings is the monogram. Featuring your new couple identity graphically is a beautiful way to personalize your event. A lighting professional can project your monogram or a custom “gobo”, which can be your names or an image, on the dance floor. As an extra benefit, the projection will not damage the dance floor and does not require messy application. Pin Spot LightingPin Spot lighting is strategically hung from the ceiling of a venue and focuses on elements that you want to feature most. They are commonly installed over each table to add drama to already gorgeous centerpieces. Pin Spots are great tools for drawing attention to the best features of a room, which can also serve to distract from your least favorite elements. View More: http://lizsaldanaphoto.passgallery.com/event/LRXfv107551For the ultimate entrance, consider a Dance Floor Wash. Imagine the entire ballroom going completely dark until a spotlight illuminates the newlyweds as they approach and take the first steps into their first dance. A wash manned by an experienced technician can infinitely increase the drama and create the kind of magical, memorable moment you deserve. Thanks for the this awesome article to :http://www.richmondweddings.com/blog/wedding-planning/the-ins-and-outs-of-event-lighting-your-wedding-decor/

Italian String Lighting

Bring a bit of old world charm to your special event with Italian String Lights. This lighting effect has decorative globe lamps, spaced at intervals, creating a lighting string of lamps that can be suspended over an area such as a dancefloor or an outdoor patio.STRING1 When it comes to Weddings, it sets the mood for by giving off a sense of romance and elegance.  Candles of all shapes and sizes have been used for years to decorate weddings and are still being used today.  As beautiful as candles look there are other ways brides are lighting up their reception.  One of our favorite ways is to use string lighting.

4 Things You MUST Know About Lighting

1. Lighting is no longer an amenityThe modern bride has a mental picture for her wedding that requires the use of lighting to fulfill it. She may not know what to call it or how to get it, but lighting is a necessity in creating the atmosphere for her dream look. Don’t believe me? Check her pinterest account.2. It takes time to set up good lightingOn average we spend 3 hours setting up the lighting, 1.5 hours taking it down and our technicians are on call during the event for approx. 6 additional hours. Anyone can hang a light, but It takes time to get the details right and ensure a problem-free evening!3. LED lighting is not for every applicationThere are many types of lighting fixtures used in many different applications. LED lighting is great, but not for every application. Wireless and battery power lighting is also very valuable, but if you rely on it for everything you will be disappointed. There are new fixtures and gadgets coming out every day and like computers they become obsolete about the time they hit the shelf! Don’t get caught up in the “race for the latest”. We are committed to finding the most efficient and practical ways to use lighting instruments for your design. However, you can bet that we will not suggest you try to keep up with the hourly trends in electronic breakthroughs and spend more on something you really don’t need. Let us help you create a practical design that you love.4. Brighter is not betterOk, lets face it. when you think of a light, you automatically want the brightest! This is a natural way of thinking. Setting the desired mood with lighting is a carefully calculated process that takes the entire event into perspective. For instance, if you want a nice soft romantic atmosphere then you want consistently low lighting. If you have an extremely bright dance floor, or perhaps a vivid backdrop amidst the romantic look it can create a “lighting conflict” making the candlelight glow on your tables look too dim. This in-turn creates an uncomfortable atmosphere for you and your guests. Keeping the intensity of lighting consistent is key to creating the right lighting design.Inspired by Ben Lawles

Reception Esthetic Suggestion for DJ's

See something missing from this Wedding Reception shot? Let me give you a clue, it is what gets you dancing....yes the DJ and sound placement. Most DJ's tend to place there sound in the front of the hall facing the guests thinking that it's the best way for sound to travel. Others like to show what they have and beleive that SIZE matters, the more speakers the better it sounds. This my friends is not the case! We must always keep in mind the Wedding Venue Esthetics! Never try to take away attention from the ocassion....the WEDDING. Check out the following set-up by a Los Angeles based Disc Jockey "DJDANNI" from Clubzlive:This set-up not only provides powerful sound, but keep the Wedding Venue Esthetics. This specific speaker is the QSC K10. 1000watts powered speaker with throw at 90deg. (And no, I do not work for QSC, just loved their K series)So please remember ESTHETICS ESTHETICS ESTHETICS, we alwasy want the Venu to look it's best, our clients will appreciate that for years to come. The last thing a couple wants to see and show off in their Wedding Albums are the speakers used on their special day.
